| Most Hindu temples all over the US run classes for children on Sunday mornings and weekends that teach about Hindu religion, philosophy, Indian history, etc. So do other organizations, such as the Chinmoy mission. From what I have observed, special emphasis is laid on tolerance and respect for all religions and people. Indian kids growing up in America know more about Hinduism and Indian culture than their cousins in India who are currently caught in a Hindi movie culture which claims to be a medley of east and west, but is in actuality, confused, clownish and corrupt. |

| I am a student working on my teaching credential. I am working on a group project focusing on how to incorporate and understand Hindu culture and beliefs. Can you please recommend some resources to help us in our pursuit? | |

| Every possible attempt was made to demand the changes in text book. But the final verdict hasn't been totally in favor of Hindus. So what next? Would hindu parents first spend little time educating themselves with hinduism and then educate their kids regarding hinduism. Let every hindu parent take this responsibility to educate their kids regarding true nature of hinduism. If more kids and parents are made aware of true meaning of hinduism, next time we would achieve what we want. |
