The Influenza Pandemic of 1918: New Findings from India and Indonesia

Siddharth Chandra, Professor of Economics and Director of the Asian Center, Michigan State University, on the influenza pandemic of 1918-19, the single most lethal short-term world-wide epidemic of the 20th century. This talk will respond to existing data and present new research on the mortality rates in India and Indonesia for this period.
