Mahesh Kale and Salar Nader: New Generation Masters Present Traditional Hindustani Classical Music

Mahesh Kale is an accomplished vocalist of the new generation whose captivating stage presence along with his uncommon musicality and vocal dexterity positions him firmly on the international radar of the North Indian classical music community. He has an illustrious pedigree in training, and his thrilling performances bear this out in the traditional classic as well as lighter forms of this music. In an effort to preserve and promote his art, Kale maintains an open outlook towards the evolution of music, enabling him to reach out to the new generation, while retaining the traditions handed down to him. In addition to his prestigious concerts, he is an inspirational teacher and versatile composer. Joining him in concert is the young dynamic tabla virtuoso, Salar Nader, a protégé of the renowned Zakir Hussain in both the classical style and cross-genre projects with jazz artists. The eminent Gopal Marathe will accompany on the harmonium.
