Bringing inspiration to youth across the Bay Area, the Taarika Foundation hosted a dynamic Career Fair on Sunday, May 17, at Murphy Park in Sunnyvale.

Taarika Foundation is a well-established nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness among youth and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. Through community workshops, educational talks, and outreach programs led by youth and adult ambassadors, the Foundation has positively impacted hundreds of people across the Bay Area by encouraging and empowering young people through valuable resources and opportunities.

Today’s teens often face significant stress and uncertainty about their futures, from choosing the right career path to navigating the college admissions process. Recognizing these concerns, Taarika Foundation organized the Career Fair to help teens feel more informed and explore a wider range of opportunities for possible careers.

The Fair brought together professionals from diverse fields to share their experiences and insights with local youth. The Foundation welcomed more than 20 speakers representing these different career paths. Attendees explored professions in healthcare, including mental health and biomedical engineering, as well as business and finance, art, real estate, and many other fields.

By creating a space where teens could directly engage with professionals from different career backgrounds, the event opened doors to new possibilities and meaningful conversations.

The event also featured a panel discussion where professionals from various industries spoke about their career journeys. This panel shared insights on their respective professions, offering youth and their parents a deeper understanding of the experiences, challenges, and opportunities that shaped each panelist’s path. Afterwards, panelists and other guest speakers offered one-on-one discussions at information tables, where parents and teens could seek advice and learn more about potential career paths.

More importantly, the Career Fair served as a reminder that guidance and mentorship can help open new doors for young people.
